Our young learners from the Primary Years Programme at Kanakia International School (IB) embarked on a journey to present Disney’s “Moana Jr.!”To provide our learners with a holistic experience of a musical for every student, “Quest for the Heart” was created, incorporating additional scenes so that every learner gets the opportunity to sing, dance, and act during the production.The performances span across different ages of Moana, illustrating her growth and journey of courage, bravery, and strength against the odds.Catch a glimpse of our star performers as they bring characters to life, lend their voices to original tracks, and showcase their talents in all three art forms: music, dance, and drama.

Students from grades 6 to 9 at Kanakia International School (IB) participated in various activities throughout the week to mark the “National Day of Science.” The scientific activities enabled students to understand the importance of various scientific disciplines in our day-to-day lives and also to appreciate and highlight the innovation and various achievements in the area of science and technology in India.While grade 6 students made their own biofertilizer using the waste fruit peels of oranges and apples, as well as bananas, and reusing plastic bottles, grade 7 students engaged in a captivating research and infographic project centered around aerosols, exploring their composition, functions, and potential impacts. Grade 8 students conducted the ‘Spy ink-A message decoder’ using turmeric, a natural indicator, along with baking soda, commonly found in all households.

Students from Kanakia International School (IB), Chembur, organised the “Collaborative Sciences Project Exhibition,” which gave the program’s participants the chance to collaborate in an interdisciplinary team to address a real-world problem while applying the scientific method.This year’s National Science Day theme, “Indigenous Technologies for Viksit Bharat,” also served as the exhibition’s subject matter.The exhibition’s main goal was to increase public appreciation for innovation, science, and technology that solve problems using domestically developed solutions for overall well-being.

On the occasion of International Mother Language Day, Grade 5 students from Kanakia International School (IB), Chembur, collaborated with their fellow students from Fountainhead School, Surat, to promote international mindedness and cultural appreciation.Through proverbs and folktales and their ties to languages and cultures worldwide, students from both schools examined the diversity of languages and cultures worldwide.

Our KIS learners’ excitement was palpable as they stepped out of their homes, officially beginning a transformative adventure in Singapore. From Merlion Park to the tranquility of ChinaTown Monastery, every moment was a lesson in culture and connection.

IBDP I Environmental Systems and Societies students at Kanakia International School took action on 22nd March the UN World Water Day and advocated for the cause of the World Water Crisis that is one of the most crucial Global Issues.

It is with great enthusiasm that we share the success of KxYouth, a conference organized by students at KIS(IB). The theme of the conference, “Breaking Constructs,” aimed to challenge established beliefs, norms, and concepts. This theme encouraged participants to question their assumptions, challenge societal norms, and re-examine stereotypes.

NEMESIS DRIVEBOT RALLY 2023 witnessed participation of 15+ schools across Mumbai and provided students an opportunity to draw out their potential in the STEM field by building a robot car and then racing against time on our challenging track.

Kanakia International School, Chembur’s Beatz Crew along with the girls from Nanhi Kali performed at the Mahindra Blues Festival as a part of Blues in Schools inclusivity initiative. The ensemble consisted of 45 kids aged from 11 to 17. Mr. Felix Hug, head of arts department from Kanakia International School, Chembur has made this performance possible.
