“My daughter has truly blossomed over the past two years academically and socially. I really feel that children are like sponges at this age and if given the opportunity, will soak up all that is to offer. My daughter has been developing exceptional skills in art, maths, science, and reading. She loves her STREAM class; I am amazed every time when she does her activities all by herself, be it paper flute, cotton ball shooter, building bridge, or other such activities. This has developed her creative thinking skills, analysis, and reasoning skills. Also, Science experiment day held at school was very educational and informative not only for kids but also for parents.
Truly happy to be part of this institution.
Thank you,
Parent of Avika Dhaundiyal-Grade IB

Life at KIS / Clubs

Clubs are an integral part of our extended curriculum  fostering a well-rounded educational experience. Through club activities, students get the opportunity to develop their interests and passions in various areas including, Model United Nations, Public Speaking,  Literature Appreciation, Debating, Board Games, Web Designing, Performing Arts – Music, Dance, Theatre, Environment Conservation, etc. Many of these clubs are managed and operated by students themselves with teachers acting as mentors/observers. By participating in these activities, students develop communication, creativity, critical thinking, and life skills, all of which are essential for their personal and professional success.

IAYP (International award for young people)

Kanakia International School – IGCSE complement the rigour of our academic programme with wider learning experiences through the internationally recognised Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award for young people over 13.5 years.

Our school is a licensed Youth Engagement Society (YES) centre with International Award for Young People (IAYP) which offers the Award in India. The Award also provides an excellent platform to encourage students to participate in Community Service. Students have the opportunity to apply for the age-appropriate level of the Award – Bronze/ Silver/ Gold – and in the process gain valuable experience in 4 specific areas: physical recreation, skills, community service, and adventurous journey. Our teachers have also been trained by IAYP as Award Leaders to support students in their pursuit of the award.

The members of the Student Prefect Council are elected at the beginning of each academic year. Elected members help in maintaining a friendly cooperative, peaceful, disciplinary, and united atmosphere in the school. Prefects serve as mentors to junior students by displaying confidence, initiative, responsibility and problem solving skills.

From Indian festivals to international celebrations, World Days, and thematic assemblies, our students enthusiastically participate in a range of events and celebrations spread across the year. We also welcome parents and guardians at school to join us for special assemblies, workshops, and events.

Annual Day, Sports Day, Graduation, and Science/International week Exhibitions are some of the other key events conducted at the school that bring our entire school community together in the spirit of celebration and collaboration.

Kanakia International School is a registered  SAT Test Centre  (TC:63774).

A considerable part of a person’s success depends on one of the educational institutions he/she has been a part of. It builds them in different ways to be the person they were destined to be.

I entered the school in Standard 4 when the school caught me in awe of the size and structure. Slowly and steadily, I made a small place for myself in this vast world. It was all great when we encountered the chance to shift to IGCSE in Standard 7. We were officially part of the “First Batch” of IGCSE. A bunch of 30 students with no clue of what we were going to experience. But it was our teachers who gave us the most support in understanding the curriculum while themselves finding out about it at the same time. The kind of dedication our teachers had towards us was enviable. From creating live background music for poetry to learning advanced Office skills, we learnt much more than the other students. Becoming the first batch from the school to attend a Model United Nations was a great learning experience. I want to thank the Principal and my teachers for being the universe of knowledge for us to learn from and the wall of support for us to fall back on. I did leave school with smiles and hopes of a bright future, but I made sure to look back and visit the most beautiful institution of my growing up years. And each time I visit, there is a perpetual smile on my face.

11 years later, I still thank the school and the wonderful teachers for giving me the life skills that helped me accomplish so much in my student life and now in my professional life. This is Akshada Shetty, an alumnus of RBKIS 2012 batch.

Ariya Moez Dhukka

An alumnus of Kanakia IS and a current student at Dalhousie University. I am pursuing my Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science for the year 2026. My story since childhood is a testament to the profound impact of my teachers and school on my journey. Their unwavering support and guidance have been instrumental in shaping me into the person I am today. In the nurturing ambiance of my school, I flourished, with a sense of belonging and motivation. Beyond academics, my teachers actively encouraged and promoted participation in extra co-curricular activities, igniting my passions and broadening my horizons. These invaluable experiences allowed me to develop crucial life skills, fostering resilience, teamwork, and creativity. With resolute dedication, my teachers and school have empowered me to embrace challenges I face today in a foreign land and strive for excellence.

Sudhanshu Jaiswal

I currently work at Google USA. I graduated from RBK School in 2014, where I achieved the 1st  rank in 10th standard. I studied under the IGCSE board, which provided me with the freedom to choose subjects. This with exceptional support and guidance from my teachers enabled me to excel. With unwavering belief and support from my parents, I secured an impressive All India Rank of 655 in IIT JEE. After graduating from IIT, I initially worked at Google London, and now I have moved to Sunnyvale, California..

Ayush Khedekar

I graduated from AS/A Levels in 2018. Currently at an acting conservatory in Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York. I have completed my B.S in TV and Video production, after which I worked as a News Director for a year. Whenever I’m faced with an obstacle, I find myself looking back at my time in school for answers, because I feel I’ve learned to overcome them before having to face them. The practical integration of the subject matter in books is what lured me into AS/A levels. I felt free to express the concepts and systems in the way I truly understood it and that to me opened new doors to learning and growing as a person. The teachers I was blessed with, truly became major foundations aiding my growth as a person ready to step in the real world. Looking back, RBKIS really did feel like my 2nd home and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
